Grid Tied Solar Systems:

We specialize in the installation of Grid Tied Solar Systems. The solar panels connect directly to your household electricity without the need for batteries. Net Metering happens when the solar panels produce more electricity than your home is using, causing your meter to spin backwards. The utility company credits your bill for the electricity you produce.
How Net Metering Works
The solar panels convert sunlight into direct-current (DC) electric power by energizing electrons in the silicon cells.
An inverter converts the DC power into standard alternating-current (AC) used by your home. Your existing electrical panel then distributes the electricity to power your home and appliances.
Excess power generated by your system is sent back through your utility service. The excess electricity spins your meter backwards and you receive full retail credit with the utility company. You can use this excess electricity free of charge later that day, at night, or even months later. This process is called Net Metering.

The Energy Improvement and Extension Act of 2008 extended the 30% tax credit for eight years and removed the dollar cap so the tax credit is now unlimited for solar electric systems beginning in 2009. The Act also allows individual taxpayers to use the credit to offset AMT (Alternative Minimum Tax) and to carry unused credits forward to the next tax year. Learn More
Arkansas Renewable Technology Rebate Fund
The Arkansas State Energy Office has announced two million dollars will be available for renewable energy rebates for home solar installations. Details have yet to be determined. We will post the information here as soon as it becomes available. Learn More
Solar is Proven Technology
Reliable – Solar panels operate reliably for long periods of time. All the panels we install have a power warranty that guarantees at least 80% of rated power for 25 years. Originally developed in 1954 by Bell Laboratories, for more than fifty years they have been proven in space where repairs are prohibitive or impossible. Durable – Solar panels are manufactured to endure the most rugged conditions found on Earth. Extreme temperatures, moisture, salt, wind and even golf ball-sized hail cannot damage solar panels. Low Maintenance – PV systems contain no moving parts. Eliminating the wear and tear substantially reduces service and maintenance expense. Occasional washing of the panels may be all the maintenance required.
- Grid Tied solar systems have the lowest initial cost without the need for the additional expense of batteries, battery chargers, control systems or back-up generators. The grid essentially becomes the battery and the back-up generator in Grid-Tied systems.
- A Grid Tied system is the most efficient and reliable form of solar energy with minimal power loss or down time.
- Grid Tied systems are scaleable. Since the utility grid provides a permanent source of power the size of the system can be determined by budget or available space. One panel and an inverter is all the equipment necessary to start a Gid Tied system. More modules can be added later to further decrease energy dependence on the grid.
- During peak solar energy production between 9am and 3pm most homeowners are using the least amount of energy in their homes. Most of the electricity produced can be passed to the grid maximizing the homeowner’s energy credit from the utility.
- The same hours are usually high energy drains on the utility grid while powering stores, malls, office buildings and public centers like schools and hospitals. Most utility companies welcome the added supply provided by Grid Tied solar systems during these peak demand hours.
